Calisa Castillo, M.A., M.Ed., works as our on-site Educational Diagnostician while completing LPC-Intern requirements. She has a Master’s degree in Psychology and Educational Counseling, both from the University of Houston system. Calisa completed her undergraduate degree at University of Houston, before receiving multiple certifications in education. She is licensed by the State of Texas as an Educational Diagnostician, Counselor and Principal. In addition, she is board certified as a teacher in Special Education and General Education with endorsements in Dyslexia and English as a Second Language. Prior to working in public education, her professional experiences included work in mental health, law enforcement and local government, all of which contribute to her ability to work with a variety of people and address a broad range of needs and interests. Specialized skills include social and emotional issues, behavioral problems and learning difficulties. With over 18 years of professional experience in education, Calisa brings a passion for helping all individuals achieve success in their academic and professional endeavors.
