As children mature, social interactions not only become more important, they become more difficult and sophisticated. This can sometimes lead them to getting in trouble in school, being bullied or teased, and feeling left out. Sometimes they may even become the “bully.” These children may struggle with hyperactivity, anxiety, rigidity and problem-solving difficulties. Our trained play therapist facilitates classes that focus on developing leadership skills and nurturing children’s ability to negotiate with peers, be appropriately assertive, problem solve, and be more flexible. Our elementary-age classes run concurrent to school semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer) and last between 10 and 16 weeks. Elementary age classes are 45-50 minutes in length.
